Sebastian Stenzel is one of the best young makers
to come out of Munich in many years. This instrument is very well
made in the traditional Spanish style of Torres. The body is compact
but the sound is very big. It has crystal clear trebles and tight,
strong basses. This guitar has a vast range of modulation and sound
colors and very good balance. Playability is superb, with excellent
intonation - Stenzel uses the fret spacing techniques developed
by engineer Ernst Frisch to provide the best intonation and playability
possible. Materials for this particular guitar are stunning, particularly
with the Brazilian rosewood used for the back and headstock which
has lovely burgundy colors in the grain. The top was UV treated,
giving it a darker, old-age look to it. For aesthetic and tonal
qualities, this is a first-rate instrument.which is reminiscent
of a very good Romanillos.
